Encaustic is the ancient art of melting a mixture of beeswax and tree resin, then applying it to a compatible surface such as wood or paper. Some are original paintings done with the beeswax medium, and others are archival prints or cyanotypes adhered to wood canvas then covered with clear encaustic medium. Seasonal and gift items are presented here as well, such as wood and ceramic ornaments and one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.
