Hi, I’m Geoffroy, the artisan behind Cercle Woodcraft.

I was born and raised in France, but these days you’ll find me tucked away in my Oregon workshop, turning local wood into pieces meant to last a lifetime.

I started Cercle Woodcraft with a simple idea: make things that feel good to hold and that people actually use every day. My work begins with salvaged or locally sourced wood, often from trees with a story of their own, and I let the natural grain guide what each piece becomes.

Every pepper mill, salt cellar, and bowl is shaped by hand, sanded smooth, and finished to bring out the wood’s character. Nothing leaves the shop until it feels just right.

Outside the workshop, I spend my time traveling, playing chess, and making baguettes from scratch. Yes, really.

Cercle means “circle” in French, a nod to the grain patterns in wood and the idea that good craftsmanship connects people through simple, lasting things.
