Turquoise Necklace in Copper
$90.00
Turquoise on Copper Necklace with .940 Argentium bail, small Turquoise accent stone and sterling silver chain
Description
This is an interesting Turquoise with little matrix, but river like darker colors highlighted among the lighter colors. It has a serrated copper bezel on a slightly textured copper backplate. A tall loop of .94o Argentium silver forms the bail, and a fine silver cup bezel holds a small darker Turquoise cabochon. The 20 inch sterling silver chain has shiny small but enlongated links, closed by a sterling silver lobster clasp. The pendant is just a hair over 2 inches, including the tall bail. Turquoise’s value has been written about since history began in many different cultures. It has been used for dispeling negativity, instilling inner peace, and spiritual clarity.

Maker Information
After retiring from teaching, then owning an Inn and Gift Shop, I learned how to make jewelry, the metal smithing kind. I fell for the soldering, riveting, forming, cutting and finishing stones, you name it, I am still learning new skills. There is something about the transforming of sheet and wire metal into a lovely, unique backdrop for a special stone. Like, who doesn't like rocks, pretty ones?
My local Lapidary Club has a clubhouse where I can use specialized tools to finish stones. We also have a great Gem and Mineral Show with vendors all over the world, even Australia! You will see some of his Boulder Opals I love so much.
Life is good!
