Our cutting boards are handmade in our small workshop in Prophetstown, Illinois. Attention to detail is our specialty, from purchasing the highest quality wood to Each board is soaked in 100% food safe mineral oil and waxed with our signature wood butter, which is made with natural Illinois Beeswax, and mineral oil.

Wood comes in shades from dark to light (the lighter colored sap wood is the wood closest to the bark). We take great pains to match and or contrast the different shades to create a truly one of a kind board. These boards are wonderful to use daily. Each are very functional but also elegant.

A few important notes about cutting boards.

Since these products are made from natural materials, each board is unique and these will be normal variations in wood grain and wood tone. In addition, boards may vary in size from the standard product description, no more than 1/4” wide/length and 1/8”in thickness both of which are due to variation in the milling and production process.

We use multiple pieces of hardwood with Titebond Glue, by using multiple pieces of wood we create a strong and more resilient cutting board. This practice greatly reduces cupping and warping which is common in single-piece wooden boards. Every board is sanded smooth and given a food grade mineral oil and beeswax finish.

WOOD CUTTING BOARD CARE TIPS
* Wash both sides with warm soapy water and dry immediately with a towel. Stand on its side to completely air dry.
* Do not wash in the dishwasher – water exposure will damage your board
* Do not submerge in water- prolonged water exposure will damage your board
* High humidity can, but rarely, causes warping. This is not a defect and does not warrant a replacement or refund.
* For best results apply a thin coat of food-grade mineral oil or a Beeswax Mineral Oil Mixture (Wood Butter) to both sides of the wood cutting board monthly or as needed to protect the board.
